The 7th China – South Asia Exposition and the 27th China Kunming Import and Export Fair opened on the
16th in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
Wang Ning, Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a welcome speech, and Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, presided over the opening ceremony.
Wang Yi said this year marks the 10th anniversary of the South China Expo, as well as the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative and the concept of neighborly diplomacy of proximity, sincerity and tolerance.Over the past ten years, we have consolidated solidarity and cooperation to jointly maintain regional security and development environment. We continue to jointly build the “Belt and Road”, and we have made gratifying progress in connectivity, infrastructure, trade and investment.We have carried out in-depth friendly exchanges, adhered to the concept of openness and inclusiveness, and built a multi-level non-governmental exchange platform. It has given new vitality to the interaction of millennium civilizations, laid a solid public opinion foundation for the cooperation between the two major regions, and written a new era of friendship between China and South Asia.
Wang Yi emphasized that China welcomes South Asian countries to continue to take the express train of China’s development and share the dividends of China’s development. We are willing to work with South Asian countries to seize historical opportunities, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, continuously cultivate new growth drivers, build a development community, and contribute to the long-term stability, stability and prosperity of the region
The 4th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum, the 2023 GMS Economic Corridor Governors Forum, the 16th China-South Asia Business Forum, THE 4th Forum ON China-South Asia Technology Transfer And Collaborative Innovation, The 9th China-South and Southeast Asian Think-tank Forum, the 5th China-South East Asia Business Forum, The Second International Cooperation Forum on RCEP Trade and Investment, and The Fourth New Era-Border Opening Forum will also be held during the conference.
